Tritium Reporting for .NET MAUI
Design, run, and export business reports inside your .NET MAUI app.
A visual banded report designer, a full report viewer, and exports to PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. It runs on Android, iOS, Mac Catalyst, and Windows. .NET MAUI is where Tritium Reporting ships first; WinForms and ASP.NET versions are planned. Moving off Crystal Reports, SSRS, or ActiveReports? Bring your existing reports with you.
Android · iOS · Mac Catalyst · Windows 10 · .NET 10 MAUI · Coming: WinForms · ASP.NET Core · ASP.NET MVC 5
Available on its own or as part of Tritium UI Complete.
Business apps still run on reports.
Invoices, registers, inventory lists, and summaries by location or customer still end up on paper, in a PDF, or in a spreadsheet someone emails on. In a .NET MAUI app you've usually had two choices: write the layout and export code by hand, or send the report off to a separate desktop tool or server.
And if your reports already live in Crystal Reports, SSRS, or ActiveReports, a move to MAUI can feel like starting from scratch.
Tritium Reporting puts the report designer, the viewer, and the exporters inside your app as ordinary .NET MAUI views. You bind them to the data your app already has.
Report designer: TritiumReportDesigner
- Lay out report, page, and group headers and footers plus a details band on a WYSIWYG page.
- Drop labels, fields, formulas, barcodes, images, lines, boxes, charts, maps, gauges, cross-tabs, subreports, running totals, and embedded documents. Charts, maps, and gauges are available when those Tritium controls are available to the designer.
- Drag fields from the field list onto a band. Snap, move, resize, and multi-select, with undo and redo.
- Rulers in inches or centimeters. Letter or A4, portrait or landscape, with margins.
- Edit groups, sorts, and parameters, including cascading parameters.
- Preview against your own data or the built-in sample rows.
- Save the report definition as JSON and load it back.
Report viewer: TritiumReportViewer
- Bind a report definition plus rows, or hand it a finished document.
- Page first, previous, next, and last. Zoom to fit width, fit page, or 25% to 400%.
- Find text and step through the hits. Jump to any group from the document map.
- Prompt for parameters and apply them without leaving the page.
- Drill down into groups, drill through to a linked report, sort by clicking a column header, and expand on-demand subreports.
- Export from the toolbar. A print event hands your app the paginated document so you can show your own print UI.
- Links, mailto links, and embedded documents raise an event your app handles.
Report model and formulas
Bands
Report header and footer, page header and footer, multi-level group headers and footers, and details.
Section options
Suppress (including by formula), keep together, new page before or after, print at bottom, reset page numbers, repeat on new page, and suppress blank sections.
Groups and records
Multi-level grouping, sorting, Top N and Bottom N, specified group order, and a record filter that runs before grouping.
Subreports
Link a child report by field or parameter. Subreports can nest and can load on demand.
Cross-tabs
Rows by columns with Sum, Count, or Average, percent of row or column total, extra row and column fields, and row, column, and grand totals.
Formulas
A Crystal-style formula language with fields, parameters, If/Then/Else, IIF, Switch and Select, totals and running totals, and date, number, and string functions. Special fields include page number, page count, record number, and group name. Formulas can also suppress items or make them bold.
Exports
One report, eleven formats:
| Vector output. Text stays selectable and searchable, with fonts embedded. Lines, boxes, charts, and gauges stay sharp at any zoom. | |
| Word (DOCX) | |
| Excel (XLSX and XLS) | XLS is a real Excel workbook, not a renamed CSV. |
| PowerPoint (PPTX) | One slide per page |
| PNG and TIFF | Page images |
| CSV | The bound records |
| HTML, MHTML, and XML |
The viewer and the PDF are drawn by the same code, so what you see on screen is what lands in the file.
Data sources
- Any list of .NET objects or dictionaries.
- A DataTable or IDataReader.
- The same data works in the designer's preview and in the viewer.
Bring your existing reports
Moving from Crystal Reports, SSRS, or ActiveReports? Tritium Reporting can import:
- SSRS / Report Builder RDL files
- Crystal Reports .rpt files and Crystal report definition XML
- ActiveReports RPX, RDLX, and section reports written in C# or VB.NET
SSRS-style expressions such as =Fields!Name.Value become Tritium formulas. Import gets the structure across: bands, fields, groups, formulas, and subreports. Complex layouts may need some touch-up afterward, and the importer lists anything it couldn't map so you know where to look.
Avery labels: TritiumAveryLabelView
- Avery 5160 and 8160 (30 labels, 1 × 2-5/8 in), 5163 (10 labels, 2 × 4 in), and 5164 (6 labels, 3-1/3 × 4 in) on US Letter.
- Put a title, barcode, SKU, purchase order, quantity, location, date, and description on each label.
- Preview the sheet at the DPI you choose, then export it to PDF. Print at 100% and the labels line up with the sheet.
Scheduled exports
Define a subscription with an interval (for example every five minutes) or a cron-style schedule, an export format, and an output folder. Your app checks when it's due and runs the report. The scheduler runs inside your app. It isn't a separate server.

One license, every platform. Licenses are per developer. A Tritium Reporting license covers Reporting on every Tritium platform, and Tritium UI Complete includes it on all of them. The apps and sites you deploy are royalty-free.
We write our own code.
The report engine, the designer, the viewer, and every exporter are original code by Tritium Apps.
There are no third-party libraries underneath. The Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files are written by Tritium’s own writers.
No dependency chain to manage. You don't wait on another library's release before you move to the next .NET or MAUI version.
No third-party libraries to license. Drawing, PDF, Word, and Excel output are Tritium's own code. Images other than PNG are decoded by the device's built-in codecs.
One vendor to call. If a report renders wrong, the people who wrote the engine fix it.
Built for any industry.
Tritium Reporting is for .NET MAUI developers anywhere in the world. Your reports can be invoices, registers, inspections, shipping manifests, or anything else your app produces.

A report viewer on a .NET MAUI page.
<reporting:TritiumReportViewer x:Name="Viewer"
Report="{Binding Report}"
PrintRequested="OnPrintRequested" /> Questions
Is Tritium Reporting part of Tritium UI Complete?
Yes. Tritium UI Complete includes Tritium Reporting along with the other eight product groups. You can also buy Reporting on its own.
Is it native MAUI or a web view?
Native .NET MAUI. The designer and viewer are ordinary MAUI views.
Can my users design reports, or only view them?
Both. Put TritiumReportDesigner in your app so users can lay out and save reports, or ship only TritiumReportViewer to run reports you designed.
Which formats can it export?
PDF, Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX and XLS), PowerPoint (PPTX), PNG, TIFF, CSV, HTML, MHTML, and XML.
Can I bring my Crystal Reports, SSRS, or ActiveReports reports?
Yes. It imports Crystal .rpt and report definition XML, SSRS RDL, and ActiveReports RPX, RDLX, and C# or VB.NET section reports. The structure comes across, but complex layouts may need touch-up. The importer tells you what it couldn't map.
Do I need a report server?
No. In a .NET MAUI app, reports run inside your app on the device.
Where does the data come from?
Lists of .NET objects or dictionaries, a DataTable, or an IDataReader. Your app loads the data and hands it to the report.
Do I need any third-party libraries?
No. Tritium writes its own PDF, Office, and image output.
Does Reporting have its own installer?
Yes. Like every Tritium product group, Reporting has its own installer. If you have Complete, the suite installer includes it.
Which platforms are supported?
Today, Android, iOS, Mac Catalyst, and Windows 10 (version 19041 and later), on .NET 10 MAUI. WinForms and ASP.NET versions are planned.
Will Tritium Reporting come to WinForms or ASP.NET?
Yes, it's planned, but it isn't available yet. WinForms will come as two separate packages, one for .NET Framework 4.7.1 and one for modern .NET. ASP.NET Core will get a Blazor report viewer first, then a Tag Helper. ASP.NET on .NET Framework will get MVC 5 support. On the web, reports run and export on your own server. We haven't announced dates.
Do I need a separate license for each platform?
No. One Tritium Reporting license covers every Tritium platform. Licenses are per developer, and deployment is royalty-free.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, you can request one. Request a free trial or email sales@tritiumapps.com, tell us what you're building, and Sales will reply with the details.
Can I install it from the public NuGet Gallery?
No. Packages come with your license from a private source.
How much does it cost?
Email sales@tritiumapps.com for pricing and licenses.
